Uwonda S. Carter is a founding partner of Carter Woodard, LLC and a transactional attorney advising clients in business and entertainment. Her practice includes negotiating recording and music-related agreements, television and film contracts, licensing, sponsorship and endorsement deals, and book publishing agreements. Her clients include award-winning artists, producers, songwriters, television personalities, production companies, comedians, authors, fashion companies, and entertainment executives, including Lil Yachty, Metro Boomin, Avery Sunshine, Kierra Sheard, Lil Duval, Organized Noize, and Tenderfoot TV.

Uwonda has been recognized by BESLA, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, and Billboard, including Billboard’s Women in Music 2025 and Top Music Lawyers from 2022–2026. She is a Lifetime Member of BESLA and a member of the Recording Academy. Uwonda earned her B.S. and J.D. from Georgia State University and is admitted to practice in Georgia and New York
