Tony Brackett grew up in Charleston South Carolina and attended Benedict College receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude in Broadcast and Editorial Journalism. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1994 where he was a member of the Order of the Barristers and Moot Court Team.

After working for a small law firm focusing on contract law and domestic litigation, Tony moved to Atlanta in 1997 and worked for BankAmerica in the Corporate Trust Department. In 2000, he secured his first entertainment law position at ABC News in NYC handling rights, licensing and business affairs. In 2012 he began working for the Disney Cable Networks group in California working primarily across business affairs, where he handled rights deals and above the line

negotiations for actors, writers, directors and producers. He worked on live action series and movies

and animated series for Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD.

Tony is currently Senior Director, Business Affairs in Original Series at Netflix, where he has been

employed since 2017, focusing on half hour comedies like Family Reunion, That 90s Show and A

Different World. His responsibilities include structuring and negotiating deals for talent, negotiating

option purchase agreements, providing strategy and budget input, and counseling creative, finance

and production management. He also oversees the payment administration and options tracking

team.
