Maacah Scott is an accomplished sports attorney and business strategist with more than a decade of experience advising professional sports organizations on complex legal, business, employment, labor, commercial, and compliance matters.

Maacah currently serves as Assistant General Counsel for the Chicago White Sox, where she is part of the organization’s senior legal leadership and advises ownership, executives, and business operations across a broad range of matters.

 

She has extensive Major League Baseball experience, having previously served as Associate General Counsel for the Arizona Diamondbacks. She handles ownership matters, labor and employment matters, investigations, commercial transactions, real estate, international matters, and manages litigation.

Beyond her in-house practice, Maacah is passionate about developing the next generation of leaders. She previously served as an adjunct professor at Arizona State University, teaching Ethics and Legal Issues in Sports, and is Co-Founder and President emeritus of WISE Arizona (Women in Sports and Events).
