Moderator
Lee Rankin, Esq.
Founder/President, Lee Rankin Group
Lee E. Rankin is an entertainment, media, technology and government contracts attorney, business advisor, and Founder and CEO of Lee Rankin Group. For more than two decades, she has advised creative businesses, artists, public institutions and technology teams on the agreements, partnerships and emerging risks that shape how ideas, brands and intellectual property create value.
Her career has placed her at the intersection of creativity, technology and commerce. Lee completed a four-year legal secondment with Meta Reality Labs, advising product marketing teams on advertising, influencer and affiliate matters as emerging technologies reshaped how brands and creators engage audiences. Earlier, she practiced in the Atlanta office of Greenberg Traurig’s Entertainment Group, advising talent on entertainment and commercial agreements, and worked in Legal and Business Affairs at Tommy Boy Music, drafting recording and publishing agreements.
Today, through Lee Rankin Group, she counsels clients on deal strategy, marketing, sponsorship, talent and other commercial agreements. Her perspective is particularly relevant as artificial intelligence raises new questions about ownership, likeness, consent and compensation for creative work.
Lee earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law and graduated cum laude from Spelman College. She is licensed in Tennessee, Georgia and New York.
