Elke Suber is a Chief Legal Officer, with 20+ years of in-house experience at global public technology companies and high-growth, venture-backed SaaS businesses. Since 2023, Elke has served as the Chief Legal Officer at Community.com, a leading AI-enabled SMS and WhatsApp customer engagement platform. She is an experienced IP, digital media and technology attorney and data privacy thought leader, with 10+ years of experience navigating the intersection of AI (LLM, cloud infrastructure) and technology. She is a trusted advisor to Boards and C-suite on wide range of legal issues and global people strategy.

Prior to Community.com, Elke led the legal function for Meta Platforms, Inc. (formerly Facebook) global monetization business (Ads, Business Messaging and Commerce) during period of significant transformation, including Apple’s privacy changes, new data and measurement requirements, and transition from data-dependent advertising model to privacy-resilient, AI-driven advertising and discovery platform. 

Elke also spent 15+ years at Microsoft, where she rose through senior roles, and drove legal execution for several of Microsoft's high-revenue divisions, including Global Partner Solutions, Consumer Devices & Microsoft Store and served as lead copyright lawyer for Xbox & Interactive Entertainment during foundational milestones, advising on the launch of the Xbox 360, digital music device & services, and multi-billion dollar gaming franchises like Halo and Gears of War.

Elke is passionate about technology, the evolving role of artificial intelligence and diversity and inclusion. She has been recognized for her professional impact and leadership, including being named one of the Most Influential Black Lawyers in Corporate America by Savoy Magazine in 2018. Elke was a commencement speaker for the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and Slippery Rock University. She has served as a speaker for various organizations including Ms. JD, Corporate Counsel Women of Color (CCWC), Leadership Counsel on Legal Diversity (LCLD), the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA), ChIPs Network, the American Bar Association, the National Bar Association, and the Society for Human Resource Managers (SHRM).   Elke has also been profiled in publications, such as MCCA’s Diversity and the Law Magazine and the Huffington Post. 

Elke is non-profit board member, currently serving as the Secretary of the Girl Scouts of Western Washington Board. She is also on the Board of Visitors for the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Elke also a past Chair of BESLA’s Board of Directors.
