Before becoming an award-winning business manager recognized by Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, and Billboard, Belva Anakwenze was a teenager in South Central Los Angeles rolling her eyes when her parents enrolled her in a business-focused high school. She went on to earn degrees from UCLA and Purdue University before building a career in corporate finance with The Walt Disney Company and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

In 2001, Anakwenze launched Abacus Financial Business Management, a premier Los Angeles boutique serving leading actors, writers, directors, and on camera talent. Today, she is known for pairing sophisticated accounting, payroll, and tax strategy with deeply personal, hands-on financial management.

A prominent female and minority business leader, Anakwenze is committed to expanding access to wealth-building knowledge. She hosted and executive produced The Earn Up with Patreon and is a sought-after speaker at major entertainment events.

She has earned six consecutive Variety Business Managers Elite honors, five consecutive Hollywood Reporter Power Business Managers honors, and four consecutive Billboard Top Business Manager honors.
